Lucas County Sheriff's Office D.A.R.E. Program Mission

The Lucas County Sheriff's Office provides the D.A.R.E. program to hundreds of students throughout Lucas County each year.  We provide students with information and skills needed to lead drug and violence free lives.  All students will be provided with the necessary tools for a successful life through the D.A.R.E. curriculum.

We consider this to be a partnership with the communities, schools, and families of the students.  The D.A.R.E. program provides positive interaction between students and law enforcement.  Through the D.A.R.E. program we form a support system for students.  The D.A.R.E. program assists students in dealing with the pressures of drug use and violence.  Our D.A.R.E. program is much more than telling a student to say no; it addresses who, what, when, where, why, and most importantly how to do it.  The Lucas County Sheriff's Office will remain committed to providing this important prevention program to the youth of our community.
